Solidified soil
Solidified soil
Excel soil
Excel soil (solidified soil) is a general term for solidified soil made from peat moss (sphagnum moss), processed with special fibers, and supplied to the agricultural and environmental fields.
A new type of environmentally friendly solidified soil
Excel Soil is a plant cultivation soil that is formed and solidified using natural fiber soil, which is widely used as an agricultural and horticultural material and soil conditioner, as its main raw material.
Solidifies without adhesive
Considering the environment, we do not use any synthetic resin adhesives. The culture soil material is entangled and bonded to polyester fibers fused into a three-dimensional mesh. Therefore, the characteristics of the culture soil material are maintained, and irrigation can be performed in the same way as regular soil.
Excellent water retention and drainage
Excel Soil has successfully adjusted the three-phase distribution of soil to an ideal state (solid phase: liquid phase: gas phase = 1:1:1). It can secure an overwhelming amount of the gas phase, which is particularly difficult to secure, maintains its physical properties during filling for a long period of time, has excellent water retention and drainage properties, and ensures healthy rooting.
Not water repellent even when dry
Once the peat moss based soil dries out, it becomes water repellent and repels water. However, Excel Soil allows water to penetrate smoothly even in dry conditions by mixing a small amount of a special substance (harmless to living things).
High workability
Since the root ball of Excel Soil does not collapse, it is possible to transplant young seedlings or transplant by machine. In addition, since there is no need to wait for root wrapping, transplanting can be carried out in a planned manner, and the turnover rate of facilities (germination room, curing room, greenhouse) can be improved.
Solidification mechanism of Excel soil
Excel Soil is molded and solidified using special polyester fibers. Using a special molding method using fibers, the soil material retains its characteristics and is entangled in the three-dimensional structure created by the fibers, with a good balance of solid, liquid, and gas phases.
History of Excel Soil
Excel soil was first used to produce flower, vegetable, and tree seedlings. The shape is a PP cell tray filled with Excel soil, and each cell has a volume of about 5 to 50 cc, and is used as a medium for seeding and cuttings.
In recent years, in the flower and vegetable seedling industries, there has been a demand for improved yields and higher quality. Furthermore, as costs must be met, the process of transplanting into pots is gradually becoming more mechanized. Transplanting using a machine cannot be carried out smoothly unless the root ball is hardened and stable, so it is essential to harden the soil.
In response to these demands, Excel Soil is used for cultivating various flower and vegetable seedlings because it maintains the original characteristics of the soil material and is firmly formed and solidified.

The root ball will not collapse even when removed from the tray
Characteristics of Excel Soil
Excel cube seedlings
Currently, it is used for greening buildings, taking advantage of the fact that it is solidified and does not scatter or run off in the natural environment.
Excel Soil is originally used as a potting soil for producing plant seedlings, so Excel Soil does not select plants. It has many other characteristics as well.
●Excellent water retention and water permeability.
●The shape is stable.
●Can be expanded vertically with less support.
●It can be easily fixed on rooftops or flat surfaces.
●Since the soil is exposed to air, the roots of plants grow healthy.
●The heat of evaporation from the soil surface keeps the soil temperature from rising in the summer.
These properties make it an extremely suitable material for wall and rooftop greening.

Building materials
Greening materials
wall greening unit The unit-type wall greening system "Caverde" is a highly constructable system. No need for cases as it won't collapse. Wall greening is possible with the minimum amount of materials needed to hold the base material. By incorporating an irrigation system, you can ensure healthy plant growth. |
Size:560×600×50(mm) |
Base material for rooftop greening Easy construction, just line them up. |

G cube・Planter A flowerpot made from Excel soil. |
Excel Soil greening base material and lightweight soil are set in a stainless steel frame. |
Civil engineering materials
Soil bunker/slope greening cube This is a new earth retaining material using Excel soil. It is lightweight and can be easily transported by hand. It can be flexibly installed along the unevenness and undulations of the mountain surface, and there is no need to adjust the shape of the material on site. |
Reference size:500×100×75cm |

Agricultural materials
Excel soil This is a solidified soil that greatly contributes to the overall labor savings in raising seedlings. It is now possible to transplant young flower bed seedlings and cut flower seedlings, which was difficult with conventional seedling cultivation soil. You can expect to improve seedling quality by taking advantage of the ideal culture soil structure. |
Seedlings can be pulled out with tweezers, etc., and can be transplanted to the field before root wrapping. |
Excel slab/Agricultural cube An alternative to rock wool made from Excel soil. After use, it can be recycled or incinerated. Because it is tightly molded, it can be used for multiple years.*Please follow the rules of your local government for disposal methods. |
